The Owls will return to action this week at the Rees Jones Intercollegiate hosted by Michigan State on Daufuskie Island, SC on Oct. 5-6.
"We are really excited about this event," Head Coach Jay Moseley said. "The golf course is great and we have been working hard to prepare for this tournament."
In addition to the Owls, the tournament which will be held at the par-72,7380-yard Haig Point Club will host a field of competitors including the College of Charleston, Georgia State, Jacksonville, Mercer, Winthrop, Michigan State, UNC Wilmington, Pepperdine, San Jose State, University of South Carolina, and Tennessee State.
"There are several quality teams here and our guys know they can win and compete with the top teams," Moseley said. "If we go out and play well and manage the golf course properly we will have a great chance to win on Tuesday."
The tournament format will feature 36 holes on Monday, with a final round of 18 to be conducted on Tuesday. Tee times are scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on both days.
