KENNESAW, Ga.  – For the first time this season, the Kennesaw State women’s soccer team has received recognition in the latest NCAA Southeast Regional rankings.

The Owls, who own a 9-6-0 overall record, was one of two teams to receive votes in the latest Southeast Regional rankings, joining Davidson. Kennesaw State is coming off an impressive, 2-0, win over Campbell, which helped the Black and Gold clinch the A-Sun regular season title for the third time in the last four years.

Kennesaw State is the only Atlantic Sun Conference team in this week’s poll. The only other squad to receive regional recognition was Mercer, who also received votes early on in the year.

The Owls will play in the semifinals of the conference tournament on Thursday, Nov. 5, when they host Jacksonville at 7:30 p.m. at the KSU Soccer Complex. The winner will then play the winner of the Stetson-Belmont match for the conference championship on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 1:00 p.m.
