DELAND, Fla. - The Owl men's tennis team continued to struggle in the Atlantic Sun Conference, dropping a 7-0 decision on the road to Stetson (15-3, 6-1 A-Sun). The Owls (5-12, 0-7 A-Sun) were outplayed in all of the matches played, failing to register a set against one of the preseason favorites in the conference.
"We'll gather ourselves, and get back on the court tomorrow ready to give a better effort than today," commented head coach T.J. Greggs. "Stetson is a stronger team than us, but we still should have done a lot better than we did today out there. Our players need to do a better job of focusing on the matches in which they are playing, and controlling the things that they can control. We made far too many unforced errors out there."
The Owls will return to the court on Friday, when they take on Bethune-Cookman College in a non-conference matchup to end the final road swing of the season. First serve is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at the City Island Tennis Center.
