Owls 2011-12 Signees
ATLANTA- The Atlanta Tip-Off Club released their 2011-12 Metro Atlanta Player of the Year Watch List on Thursday, with the list including Berkmar High School standout and 2012 Owls signee Yonel Brown. The list includes 30 prep basketball players who are expected to among the top players in the metropolitan Atlanta area this season.
Brown, a point guard, has already seen his share on the court and has received recognition for his play by the Tip-Off Club in the past. He was named an ATC All-Metro Honorable Mention this past year for his efforts in helping Berkmar, which is located in Lawrenceville, Ga., to a spot in the Georgia Class 5A Championship tournament last season.
Joining Brown in the first full class of head coach Lewis Preston’s tenure at Kennesaw State are a pair of Florida natives in guard/forward Jordan Montgomery and forward Brandon Williams, as well as Cleveland, Ohio product Myles Hamilton.
