Former Women's Soccer Players Find Success In Europe

Wade scores championship winning penalty kick

WYCOMBE, Buckinghamshire. – Two former Kennesaw State women’s soccer players, Sally Wade (2005) and Jade Dempster (2009-10), starred in the FA Women’s Premier League Cup Final as their team, Barnet, defeated Nottingham Forest in penalty kicks, 4-3, on March 24 at Adams Park.

Wade put home the match-winning penalty kick, while Dempster anchored the Barnet defense to help force PK’s. The victory made Barnet tournament champions for the first time since 1996.

Dempster played a total of 21 games at Kennesaw State totaling 17 points on five goals and seven assists, while Wade appeared in 18 games in her career as an Owl.
