KENNESAW, Ga. – Junior Matt Nagy was named Atlantic Sun Golfer of the Week after his performance at the Barefoot at the Beach Intercollegiate Mar. 6-8. Nagy posted a 67-68-68/203, -13 to earn individuals medalist. The former U.S. Open participant helped lead the Owls to their fourth team title of the season.
Nagy stayed consistent the entire tournament turning in three rounds of sub-par golf at the Surf and Golf Beach Club in North Myrtle Beach.
The 2010-11 campaign has been the best of Nagy’s career as this win marks the second individual title he has claimed, [1st, Rees Jones Intercollegiate]. The junior also recorded a second place finish at the Humming Bird Intercollegiate as well as earning the wins at The Match Play against Campbell, Marquette and Ball State.
This is Nagy’s first A-Sun GOTW award this season.
