KENNESAW, Ga. – For the fourth-consecutive year, the Kennesaw State men’s tennis program was honored for its academic success by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). Four Owl student-athletes took home 2012 ITA Scholar-Athlete accolades, while the entire squad was named an ITA All-Academic Team.
“I’m so proud of this team in so many ways,” said head coach #T.J. Greggs#. “This recognition is just another testament to what great student-athletes we have here at KSU.”

Louis Theodor were honored as ITA Scholar-Athletes. Janik earns his fourth-consecutive award, while Kubin and Ozdemir collect their third such honor.
KSU has been named an ITA All-Academic Team every season of its existence, dating back to the inaugural 2008-09 season. The Owls are one of 69 men’s teams selected in the nation, while the Atlantic Sun Conference had three teams designated in Florida Gulf Coast, Kennesaw State and Stetson.
To be recognized for the team award, all student-athletes appearing on a roster must compete in at least one match and have a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). To be named as an ITA Scholar-Athlete, players must be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their current institution for at least two semesters.
