MACON, Ga. – Kennesaw State senior Ben Greene won the Atlantic Sun Men’s Golfer of the Week for the second time in his career after his performance at the Carpet Capital Collegiate Championship.

Greene finished sixth after puting together three straight rounds of 70, for a total of 210, 6-under-par. He finished with a total of 12 birdies in 54 holes and finished ahead of four 2012 PING All Americans, including Jack Nicklaus Award winner Justin Thomas.

Greene and the Owls competed against seven Top-25 teams at the Carpet Capital Collegiate Championship. He led Kennesaw to a tenth place finish out of fifteen teams including wins over two Top-10 teams in Georgia Tech and Auburn.

“Ben’s (Greene) performance was one of the best performances I have been apart of at Kennesaw State,” Head Coach Jay Moseley said. “He played great from tee to green for the entire tournament. He has always played his best golf in tournaments, and to watch his play at the Carpet Capital Collegiate was refreshing.”

A native of Duluth, Ga., Greene is a senior finance major. This is his second career A-Sun Golfer of the Week award.
