NEW ORLEANS, La. – Kennesaw State sophomore Natan Reuter of the men’s cross country team earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division I All-Academic Team honors, the association announced Monday (Feb. 25).

Reuter ended his first season with Owls with an 18th place finish at the NCAA South Regional, running a 10k time of 31:02.0 and earning himself a USTFCCCA All Region selection. Prior to the Regional, Reuter finished fifth at the Atlantic Sun Championship to earn All A-Sun First Team honors.

A communications major from Lennik, Belgium, Reteur is a sophomore transfer from Eastern Kentucky. He raced in all seven of the Owls fall events, placing inside the top-15 on five occasions.

To qualify for the All-Academic award, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have either earned USTFCCCA All-America status or finished in the NCAA region's top 15 (or top 10 percent) in 2012.

Reuter joins 66 other student-athletes from 40 institutions to earn All-Academic Status. Anthony Rotich of UTEP was named the USTFCCCA Division I Men’s Scholar Athlete of the Year.
