KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State head men's basketball coach
Lewis Preston will take a temporary leave of absence from the program due to medical and personal reasons, it was announced on Thursday morning.
It is unknown how long Preston will be away from the team.
Associate Head Coach
Jimmy Lallathin will serve as interim head coach during Preston's absence after serving with Preston for the past three seasons at Kennesaw State.
"We have no further comments on
Lewis Preston," said Kennesaw State Director of Athletics
Vaughn Williams. "We are confident in
Jimmy Lallathin taking the reins and moving forward at this time."
The team's next game will be this Saturday, Jan. 2, as East Tennessee State makes its way to the Convocation Center for a noon ET contest.
