KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State men's tennis team picked up its newest member on Friday as Sam Slade signed his National Letter of Intent to play for the Owls next season.
Slade, an Alpharetta, Georgia native and a Rivers Academy High School graduate, will join KSU after two seasons at Georgia Perimeter College in Atlanta.
"We're excited about welcoming Sam Slade to Kennesaw State," said KSU head coach
Eduardo Rincon. "He's the right person to help us move our program forward. Sam understands the commitment and responsibility that we expect and he will fit in nicely to an already extremely hard working team. Sam will not be afraid to do what it takes to be successful. I anticipate Sam to make an immediate impact upon his arrival."
Slate will bring experience levels that have taken him to USTA Tournaments including local, state, regional and national competition.
KSU wrapped up the fall 2014 season and will be back in action on Jan. 18 at Georgia State to open up the spring season.
