KENNESAW, Ga. – Freshman
Teremoana Beaucousin (Papara, Tahiti / Lycée de Papara) has been named the Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday (Mar. 26).
Beaucousin fired a 3-under par 213 (71-67-75) to finish in the top 10 for the seventh time in eight tournaments this season. His second round 67 is a career-low 18-hole total and his 36-hole total of 138 is a season-low for any Owls golfer this year.
Beaucousin finished ahead of three players ranked in the Golfstat top 50, and ahead of nine golfers ranked in the top 80. Kennesaw State placed ninth in the 15-team field that included nine teams ranked in Golfstat's top 50.
The weekly conference honor marks the first of Beaucousin's career and second by a Kennesaw State player this year. Junior
Austin Vick was honored on Sept, 25.
The Owls are next in action on Friday (Mar. 28) when they open play at the 45th Annual Furman Intercollegiate in Greenville, S.C.
