Jimmy Beck (Columbus, Ga. / Columbus HS) has been named the Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday (Apr. 2).
Beck posted a 4-under par 212 (73-67-72) to tie for fourth at the 17-team Furman Intercollegiate that concluded Sunday at the par72, 6,994-yard Furman University Golf Course in Greenville, S.C. The Owls' junior recorded his fifth top 10 finish of the season and his second round 67 was his sixth in the 60s this year.
The 4-under total of 212 marks the fourth tournament this year that Beck has finished even-par or better. His tied for fourth-place finish was better than three golfers ranked in the latest Golfstat top 35 rankings.
The Golfer of the Week honor marks the fourth of Beck's career.
The Owls will be back on the course this weekend as they play in the Mason Rudolph Invitational. Play begins on Friday April 4th at the Vanderbilt Legends Club.
