FINAL RESULTS | HIGH JUMP HIGHLIGHTS

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. –
The Kennesaw State's men's track and field team won back-to-back Atlantic Sun titles in dominating fashion on Saturday, May 17. The team totaled 311 points, which was the second most points ever scored in an A-Sun Championship.

"All good things come from God and he's blessed us with another championship on the men's side," Director of Track and Field Andy Eggerth said. "Frequently, hard work isn't enough, but that's often all we have control over is what kind of effort we're going to put in. Clearly, our guys haven't been complacent after previous wins, but have continued to bust tail; so I'm very glad when they get to enjoy the payoff of broken records and team titles. This is a group of guys here that recognizes the privilege it is to be an Owl!"

The team won 11 of the 15 events on Saturday and totaled 13 total wins on both days of competition. There were 21 events throughout the two days.

Junior Andre Dorsey won the most valuable performer award scoring 51 points in the meet. He competed in nine different events and compiled three event wins on Saturday with a conference record in the high jump clearing 2.16 meters. He also added wins in the triple jump and javelin while finishing third in the 110m hurdles.

Dorsey wasn't the only person to break a conference record on Saturday. Freshman Jalil Braxton ran a 47.00 flat breaking the record set last year by Reagan Beal. Beal and Braxton anchored the back two legs on the 4x400 team and guided the team to a gold medal in 3:13.73.

Beal also won the 100m-dash and 200m-dash in his final A-Sun Championship.

The Owls swept the top four spots in the 110m hurdles with Terrell Singleton winning the race with a time of 14.14.

Robert Harvey III added his second gold medal with a 48.22m throw in the discus.

There are several athletes that will be traveling back to Jacksonville to compete at North Florida in the preliminary round of the NCAA Championships on May 29-31 to try and qualify for the national championships.
