KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State's Andre Dorsey and Drew Duggans swept the Atlantic Sun Indoor Track and Field weekly awards following their performances at the ETSU Track and Field Invitational the conference announced Wednesday.

Dorsey took home two first place finishes at the ETSU Invitational. Dorsey jumped 2.16m (7'1") to win the high jump. That jump is currently tied for ninth best in the country and 23rd best in the world. The senior All American also won the triple jump. Dorsey jumped 15.62m (51'3) which is good for seventh best in the country and 12^th in the world.  That jump currently leads the Atlantic Sun by 1.25m.  This is Dorsey's fifth career A-Sun Field Athlete of the Week Award.

"We have been trying to compete Andre less this year to keep him healthier, "director of track and field Andy Eggerth said. "So far it has been working pretty well. As he times things up a little bit better it will be fun to watch him soar."

Duggans ran a 6.78 in the 60m preliminaries which earned  him a spot in the 60m final. His preliminary time was fifth fastest out of 114 people who participated in the preliminaries.  He would run a 6.79 in the 60m final which was good for third overall. Duggans also had the 3rd fastest time of the weekend in the 200m dash of 21.69, advancing to the final from the 140 person field. This is Duggan's first career A-Sun Track Athlete of the Week Award.

"Drew is so talented," Eggerth said. "His health and consequent training this fall has been shaky, but the cumulative training effect of the last three semesters has allowed him to display a fraction of his talent.  It will be truly impressive to see when Drew fulfills his potential!"

The Owls will return to the track on January 30 when they compete in the two-day Jack Johnson Invitational in Minneapolis, Minn.
