Kennesaw, Ga. – The Kennesaw State track and field team will be hosting a costume pole vault exhibition October 23-24 at the Owl-O-Ween festival at the KSU Outdoor Track and Field Facility. The exhibition is open to any and all USTFA members and the cost is $10 per day with all proceeds going to the Golden Soldiers. Participants are encouraged to vault in costume.
The Friday exhibition will have an opening height of six feet and will increase in six inch increments. Participants can begin warming up at 5 p.m. with the event beginning at 6 p.m and ending by dark.
On Saturday, the opening height will start at nine feet and participants may began warming up at 3 p.m. before the event begins at 4 p.m.
Athletes may compete on both days, but will need to pay two entry fees (all proceeds going to Golden Soldiers Charity).
Participants may wear spikes but only ¼ inch pyramid spikes are allowed in the facility. Partipants must bring their own poles, must register online, and submit the properly signed liability waiver form. Each competitor may get one coach in for free provided he or she has been properly designated during the registration process.
