KENNESAW, Ga. (October 21, 2015) – Kennesaw State and Furman have agreed to a two-game series beginning at Paladin Stadium in 2016, it was announced on Wednesday (Oct. 21). The series will conclude with a game at Fifth Third Bank Stadium on Oct. 8, 2019.
The scheduling of Furman completes Kennesaw State's six-game non-conference schedule that features four home contests and two road games. The Owls will open the 2016 campaign by hosting East Tennessee State at Fifth Third Bank Stadium on Sept. 3. Other home games include Point (Sept. 10), Missouri S&T (Oct. 8) and Clark (Nov. 5).
Kennesaw State will play back-to-back road games at Duquesne (Sept. 24) and at Furman (Oct. 1). The schedule includes three contests (East Tennessee State, Duquesne, Furman) against NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) teams, two games versus NCAA Division II opponents (Missouri S&T, Clark), and one NAIA foe (Point).

2016 Non-Conference Opponent CapsulesSept. 3 vs. East Tennessee State (Johnson City, Tenn.; NCAA Division I FCS; Southern Conference)ETSU returned to playing football in 2015 and is currently 0-6 on the season. The Owls and Bucs met in this year's season-opener and Kennesaw State recorded a 56-16 victory.
Sept. 10 vs. Point (West Point, Ga.; NAIA; The Sun Conference)Point and Kennesaw State met on Oct. 10 and the Owls recorded a 56-17 victory at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. The Skyhawks are currently 6-2 on the season.
Sept. 24 at Duquesne (Pittsburgh, Pa.,; NCAA Division I FCS; Norteast Conference)The Dukes are currently 4-3 on the season and finished with a 6-6 record in 2014.
Oct. 1 at Furman (Greenville, S.C.; NCAA Division I FCS; Southern Conference)The Paladins are currently 3-3 after finishing the 2014 season with a 3-9 record.
Oct. 8 vs. Missouri S&T (Rolla, MO; NCAA Division II; Great Lakes Valley Conference)The Miners are 3-3 on the current season, including 3-1 GLVC. Missouri S&T finished 4-7 in 2014.
Nov. 5 vs. Clark (Atlanta, Ga.; NCAA Division II; Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association)The Panthers are 1-6 in 2015 and posted a 3-7 mark in 2014.
