Â
The Kennesaw State men enter the competition as the fifth ranked team in the Atlantic Sun Men's Cross Country Coaches Poll. KSU has won two championships (2009, 2010) and is tied with USC Upstate for the most A-Sun Cross Country Championships of the current A-Sun affiliates. The Owls have finished in the top-four in eight of the last 10 A-Sun Championships since joining the league in 2005.
Â
Leading the team will be freshman
Simone Colombini. Colombini has placed in the top 10 in all four of the Owl's meets so far this season. He finished second this same course back on September 5 in the Owls first meet of the season. Â
Â
The women finished fourth in the A-Sun Championships and will be looking for another strong finish on Saturday. In about three months of work under new head coach
David Poteet, the women have improved in each of their four meets, having placed inside the top-6 in two of four events so far this season.
Kennesaw State will return to competition as the sixth ranked team in the latest A-Sun Women's Coaches Poll. The Owls will look to chase down the Lipscomb Bison, the four-time returning A-Sun Women's Cross Country Champions and slight favorite in the coaches poll. KSU is seeking its first A-Sun team championship since 2005.
Â
Junior Â
Kidan Kidane will look to lead the Owls as she has been the Owls top-finisher in all four meets this season. Kidane has posted four top-10 finishes on the season including a runner-up performance at the UNF Invitational on the same course hosting the A-Sun Championships. Â
