KENNESAW, Ga. –
Kennesaw State's Joyce Mattagliano, was voted by the coaches Atlantic Sun Most Outstanding Freshmen Performer for her strong performance in her first ever indoor championship.

Mattagliano, took home two gold's and a silver medal at the Championships. She won the 800m race with a time of 2:10.66. She finished second in the mile in 5:01.34. The freshman won her second goal medal running the second leg of the 4x400 relay and helping lead the Owls to a win in that event.  She would score 20.5 points over the two day championship which was good for fifth most overall. 

Mattagliano, will begin preparing for the outdoor season next week as the Owls will open their outdoor on (Mar.27-28) at the Yellow Jacket Invitational in Atlanta.
