KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State sophomore
Shakedra Robinson earned Atlantic Sun outdoor field athlete of the week award following her performance at the Southern Miss Invitational, the conference announced Wednesday, April 29.
"I'm really happy to see Shakedra win this award," director of track and field and cross country
Andy Eggerth said. "She has had a great attitude and worked hard all year. This is what makes coaching enjoyable.
Robinson won the high jump with a jump of 1.76m (5'9.25). That jump tied
Christie Leverette's school record jump from 2012. The jump also leads the conference by .08m and is good for 43rd best in the country and 19
th best in the East region. She also collected a pair of top-10 finishes in the javelin and the shot put.
Robinson and the Owls will be back on the track at the Atlantic Sun Outdoor Track Championships on May 15-16 in Jacksonville, Florida.
