KENNESAW, Ga. – Junior Christopher Guglielmo has been named the Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, the conference announced on Thursday (Mar. 10). It marks his first career player of the week honor.

Guglielmo tied teammate Fredrik Nilehn for 13th place at the 18-team Tiger Invitational hosted by Auburn at Grand National Lake Course that concluded on Tuesday (Mar. 8). The Owls' junior posted rounds of 76-71-72 for a 3-over par total of 219.
 
Guglielmo's performance came in a field that included two teams – No. 5 Auburn and No. 25 Kentucky – ranked in Golfstat's top 50, and helped Kennesaw State tie for fourth place with a 54-hole total of 15-over par 879. He also finished ahead of three players ranked in Golfstat's top 78, including No. 8 Tyler McDaniel of Kentucky.
 
"We are extremely proud for Chris to receive this award," Kennesaw State head coach Bryant Odom said. "He has worked very hard on his game during the winter break and more importantly, on some intangibles that have helped in his preparation and process of playing the game. Chris is poised for a great spring season when we need him the most."
 
Guglielmo has posted 74.00 stroke average in 15 rounds this season and recorded three top 20 showings in five events.
 
Kennesaw State will continue a busy two-week stretch when it competes in the Southern Intercollegiate Championships hosted by Georgia at the Athens Country Club on Monday (Mar. 14). The event is a one-day 36-hole tournament comprising a field of 14 teams and 78 players.
