NORMAN, Okla. – Kennesaw State rising senior
Teremoana Beaucousin was one of 218 NCAA Division I players named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), the organization announced on Wednesday (July 20).

Beaucousin, who helped the Owls capture the 2016 Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) championship and earn their sixth consecutive NCAA Division I regional appearance this past spring, becomes the eighth different KSU individual since 2007 to be honored as an All-America Scholar.

A native of Papara, Tahiti, Beaucousin has compiled a 3.45 grade-point average as a business finance major. In his three seasons as a member of the Kennesaw State golf team, Beaucousin has been an integral member in helping the Owls to three NCAA Regional appearance and a NCAA Championships showing in 2014.

During the 2015-16 season, Beaucousin produced a 74.07 stroke average in nine events and ranks fourth in Kennesaw State history with a 72.85 career scoring average.

To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I, 78.0 in Division II, 77.0 in NAIA and 79.0 in Division III, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
