TRK: Tucker and Pileckaite Sweep ASUN Field Athlete of the Week Awards

KENNESAW, Ga.
 – Kennesaw State's Fabeon Tucker and Greta Pileckaite swept the ASUN Conference Indoor Field weekly awards following their performance at the ETSU Track and Field Invitational the conference announced Wednesday.

Tucker competed in the shot put and weight throw at the ETSU Track and Field Invitational. The senior finished as the top collegiate in the weight throw with a career-best toss of 17.78m (58'4). That throw leads the ASUN by 2.48m currently. In the shot put, Tucker was the fourth-best collegiate finishing with a toss of 15.43m (50'6.25).He leads conference in the shot put by 1.15m.

"Our throwers had an outstanding weekend and were the most successful event group on our team," director of track and field and cross country coach Andy Eggerth said. "Greta had a monster PR in the shot put and is coming into her own as a thrower.  It always happens but never gets boring to watch hard work pay off.  The same is true for Fabeon as he's enjoying dominating the conference rankings in both throwing events and our guys are poised to claim 55 of the 62 possible points in the throws at the ASUN Championship."

Pileckaite also competed in the both the shot put and the weight throw.  The Kaunas, Lithuania native had a career-best toss of 13.30m (43'7.75) in the shot put. That throw leads the ASUN by .32m. In the weight throw, she was the fourth-best collegiate with a toss of 15.12m (49'7.25) which is second-best in the ASUN this season. 

The Owls will return to action on January 19-20 at Mountaineer NCAA Indoor Meet in Boone, N.C.
