THE STORYLINE:
· Team Black totaled six home runs to power past Team Gold, 16-1, in the third and final game of the Black and Gold World Series at Stillwell Stadium Friday afternoon.
· The home runs propelled Black to a World Series sweep over Gold as Matt Mixon, Griffin Helms, Jake Franklin, Forrest Bramlett and Jaylen Smith all totaled homers on the day.
· The five went a combined 12-for-23 with six home runs and drove in 15 of Black's 16 runs, while crossing home plate a combined 11 times.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
· RHP AJ Moore (1-0), who earned the win on the mound, tossed 3.0 shutout innings, allowing no hits and no runs.
· Moore faced the minimum batters required, striking out two and issuing no walks to keep Gold scoreless through three frames.
· Black's lineup backed the right-handers performance with five home runs over the first three innings, including a grand slam and a solo homer off the bat of Helms – who finished the ballgame 3-for-5 with five RBI and three runs scored.
· Mixon and Franklin each tallied solo homers in the first and second innings, respectively, while Bramlett hit a three-run homer over the center field wall in the second frame to hand Black a commanding 10-0 advantage.
· Gold broke its scoreless bid with a single in the top of the fourth frame as AJ Willoughby singled up the middle to score LaDonis Bryant from second, cutting the deficit to 10-1.
· Black's hot bats continued in the bottom of the fourth, as Terence Norman and Franklin hit back-to-back RBI singles to push its lead to 12-1, before Jaylen Smith hit a three-run homer in the fifth to give Coach Trey Fowler's club a 16-1 lead.
· Black's bullpen tossed 4.0 impressive innings, allowing just two hits and one run in relief of Moore, keeping Gold off the scoreboard in six of the seven frames.
· Coach Fowler's lineup had each player record at least one hit and six of the eight players in the lineup drove in at least a run.
· The lineup produced 15 hits and 16 runs batted in, scoring five runs in the first, four more in the second, one in the third, two in the fourth and four more in the fifth frame to jump out to a 15-run advantage.
