STATESBORO, Ga. -- The Kennesaw State men's tennis team wraps up fall competition this weekend at the Georgia Southern Invitational in Statesboro, Ga. The three-day event begins Friday morning and runs through Sunday.
 
"Georgia Southern does a great job of hosting this tournament every year," said director of tennis Eduardo Rincon. "We look forward to some tough competition to close out the fall. We have had some really good practices as of late and I know the team is excited and looking forward to competing this weekend."
 
The four-team event will be held at the Wallis Tennis Center, and includes the Owls, the Eagles, The Citadel, and UT-Chattanooga.
 
Junior Fermin Calvo Barcelo is the top-seeded player in the singles draw, and has a first-round bye to the Round of 16. In the first round of the singles draw, Corey Smith, Harrison Wood, Drew Lahey, Austin Anderson, Bryan Triana, Lucas de Torres Curth, Manuel Castellanos and Lau Schinteie will all be in action early Friday morning.
 
In doubles, the Owls will have four teams competing, which include Calvo and Triana, Smith and Wood, Curth and Lahey and Schinteie and Tino Dahlem.
