MACON, Ga. -- The Kennesaw State men's and women's tennis teams head to Mercer this weekend for the Mercer Gridiron Classic. Play begins Friday morning in Macon and runs through Sunday.

For the tournament, the Owls join Mercer, Middle Georgia, Bethune Cookman, Georgia State, Georgia Southern, Alabama State, Jacksonville State, and North Georgia for the three-day event in both men's and women's action.  Chattanooga, Georgia College, USC Upstate, Radford, Austin Peay, and Florida Southern will be represented on the men's side, while Emory, Florida A&M, and North Georgia will be competing in the women's action.

Following this weekend's action in Macon, the men will be be back in action in the ITA Regionals -- Oct. 13-17 at Georgia Tech, while the women's ITA Regional is Oct. 19-23 at the University of Georgia.
