KENNESAW, Ga. – Junior Pablo Rodriguez-Tabernero Torres has been named the ASUN Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, the conference announced on Thursday (Nov. 2). It marks his first career player of the week honor.
 
Torres was instrumental in helping Kennesaw State to a second place finish at the Steelwood Collegiate Invitational. He posted rounds of 73-69-70 for a 4-under par 212 total to tie for second and two shots out of first place.
 
The Sevilla, Spain native's performance came in a field that included top-ranked Alabama, No. 8 Kentucky and included six players ranked in Golfstat's top 95, five in the top 52, including the country's top-ranked player. Torres finished ahead each of the top 52 players. He concluded his fall season with a 74.79 scoring average and two top 20 finishes.
 
Kennesaw State wrapped up its fall season with four top 10 finishes in five events, including three top three showings. The Owls finished as runner-up in each of their last two tournaments, - the Pinetree Intercollegiate and Steelwood Collegiate Invitational – and ranked No. 49 in the latest Golfstat rankings.

With the fall season completed, Kennesaw State will be off until Feb. 12 when it opens its spring slate at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate in Mobile, Ala.
