KENNESAW, Ga. –
Kamiyah Street, who has made a big impact in her first season with the Kennesaw State women's basketball team, has been named the ASUN Conference Freshman of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday (Dec. 5).

In helping the Owls to a 2-1 record this past week, Street reached double digits in points in all three games, averaging 18.0 points s game, including 26 in a 71-61 victory over Georgia State on Nov. 30. She also averaged 6.0 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 2.0 assists a contest. In KSU's win over Georgia State, the Owls' freshman also contributed three rebounds, four assists and five steals.

The Atlanta resident followed that effort with 17 points, eight rebounds, one steal and one assist in a victory over Middle Georgia State. She wrapped up the week with 11 points, seven rebounds and one steal versus East Carolina.

Street has paced Kennesaw State all season, leading the Owls and ranking third in the ASUN Conference with 15.1 points a contest and ranking second in the league with 2.5 steals a game. She has reached double digits in eight of 10 games this season, and has scored 15 or more points six times.

Following final exams, Kennesaw State will return to action on Friday, December 15, when it travels to Statesboro, Ga., to take on Georgia Southern beginning at 11 a.m. (ET).
