KENNESAW, Ga. –
Kennesaw State's Dayo Akindele and Morgan Campbell swept the ASUN Conference Indoor Field Athlete of the Week Awards following their performance at the Music City Challenge the conference announced Wednesday.

Akindele posted a pair of lifetime best performances in the long jump and triple jump at the Music City Challenge. He finished as the second best collegian and third overall in the triple jump with a leap of 15.35m (50'4.5).  That jump leads the ASUN nearly two feet. In the long jump, he finished as the fourth collegiate and fifth overall with a leap of 7.41m (24'3.75). That jump leads the ASUN by nearly a foot.  He also posted a lifetime best time of 8.04 in the 60m hurdle prelims.

"Dayo really had an outstanding meet with three personal records in the hurdles, long jump, and triple jump; including being amongst the top collegiate performers.  Dayo is a very talented athlete, and it's rewarding to watch is focus and commitment to the sport pay off. "

Campbell competed in the triple jump at the Music City Challenge. Campbell recorded her indoor season-best triple jump of 12.23m (40'1.5) to finish 13th overall. That jump is good for second best in the conference.

"Morgan has been having a great year, so it is fun to watch her be recognized for her PR in the triple jump," Eggerth said.  "She'll be an integral player for us at the conference championship in a week!"

The Owls return to action at the ASUN Conference Championships February 23-24 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
