KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State sophomore Jake Fendt was honored for his play earlier this week at the Southern Intercollegiate Championships by being named the ASUN Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, the conference announced on Thursday (March 16). It marks the second time in his career that he has been honored.
 
Fendt claimed individual medalist honors for the first time in his career after topping the field at the Southern Intercollegiate Championships on Monday. He carded rounds of 68-69 for a 7-under par total of 137 to defeat a field that included six teams in Golfstat's top 50 and seven individuals ranked in the top 82.
 
Fendt, who established a career-low 36-hole total, recorded 11 birdies during his two rounds.
Kennesaw State is back in action on Sunday (March 19) when it co-hosts with Mercer the Linger Longer Invitational at Great Waters Golf Course at Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Ga.
