THE STORYLINE:Â
· Kennesaw State fell behind early Sunday afternoon and could not overcome an early three-run deficit, dropping the series finale to No. 12 Oklahoma 14-4 at Stillwell Stadium.
· The Sooners scored runs in five of their nine at-bats, plating 14 runs on 12 hits to outweigh the Owls' back-to-back home runs in the fourth frame to earn the victory.
· With the loss, Kennesaw State dropped to 8-11 overall while #12 Oklahoma improved to 21-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED
· The Sooners jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead, scoring two runs in the second and one in the fourth, and never surrendered the lead.
· The Owls'
Taylor Allum and
Griffin Helms answered the Sooners with back-to-back solo home runs over the right field wall in the bottom of the fourth, trimming the lead to 3-2.
· However, the 12
th-ranked team in the country scored 11 of the final 13 runs to earn the weekend series sweep.

Will Bice, a junior out of Fortson, Ga., made his team-leading eighth appearance out of the bullpen, and pitched a flawless 2.0 innings. Bice allowed no runs on no hits during his time on the mound, keeping the Oklahoma lead within four.
· Offensively, the Owls were led by
Austin Upshaw (2-for-4),
Jake Franklin (2-for-4),
David Chabut (2-for-4), Helms (RBI) and Allum (RBI), as the five players combined to go 8-for-19 (.421) with two RBI.

Taylor Allum extended his hitting streak to six games with a solo home run in the fourth inning. He has now reached base safely 14 straight games and leads the team with a career-best eight HR.

Griffin Helms tallied his third home run of the season and eighth of his career with a solo blast in the fourth inning.

Gabe Friese made an appearance out of the bullpen and recorded 0.2 innings. He now hits 1.2 frames shy of becoming KSU's all-time leader in innings thrown.

LaDonis Bryant drove home his second RBI of the season with a single in the bottom of the sixth inning.
·
Grant Williams extended his hitting streak to five games, and has gone 7-for-19 (.368) over his last four games.
