THE STORYLINE:
· Kennesaw State dropped its midweek tilt with SEC in-state rival Georgia, 9-6, in six official innings at Stillwell Stadium Tuesday evening.
· Lighting and storms surrounding the area kept the two programs from completing a full nine innings, but the Bulldogs score in four of the six official innings – including a three-run first and a four-run third—to earn the victory.
· With the loss, Kennesaw State dropped to 8-12 overall while Georgia improved to 9-13.

HOW IT HAPPENED
· The Bulldogs jumped out quickly with three runs in the first, a run in the second, four more in the third and one in the fourth, building a seven lead cushion.
· The Owls clawed back within three runs, with a run in the first, a crooked three in the third, and single runs in the fourth and fifth.
· Junior Corey Greeson (1-for-3, three RBI) led the team offensively with a two-run home run in the third inning and a sacrifice fly in the fourth.
· Kennesaw State also got key contributions at the plate from Austin Upshaw (2-for-3), Terence Norman (2-for-3) and Griffin Helms (1-for-3, RBI).
· The highlight of the night may have come in the top of the fifth, when Norman reached up and robbed a home run to end the inning. It held the Bulldogs scoreless for the first time in the ballgame and switched momentum over to the Owls' bench.
· Upshaw followed up in the bottom half with a solo HR to pull the Black and Gold within three, the closest its been since facing a 3-0 deficit in the first.
·But, rain and storms official ended play with six completed innings, and 1,113 fans were sent home because of weather.

#NESTNOTES:
· Corey Greeson hit his first home run of the season in the bottom of the fourth frame, marking his eighth HR of his career.
· Austin Upshaw hit his first home run since March 5 at Middle Tennessee, and now has five on the season – ranking second on the team. He extended his hitting streak to five games.
