THE STORYLINE:Â
· Kennesaw State dropped its midweek tilt with SEC in-state rival Georgia, 9-6, in six official innings at Stillwell Stadium Tuesday evening.
· Lighting and storms surrounding the area kept the two programs from completing a full nine innings, but the Bulldogs score in four of the six official innings – including a three-run first and a four-run third—to earn the victory.
· With the loss, Kennesaw State dropped to 8-12 overall while Georgia improved to 9-13.

HOW IT HAPPENED
· The Bulldogs jumped out quickly with three runs in the first, a run in the second, four more in the third and one in the fourth, building a seven lead cushion.
· The Owls clawed back within three runs, with a run in the first, a crooked three in the third, and single runs in the fourth and fifth.
· Junior
Corey Greeson (1-for-3, three RBI) led the team offensively with a two-run home run in the third inning and a sacrifice fly in the fourth.
· Kennesaw State also got key contributions at the plate from
Austin Upshaw (2-for-3),
Terence Norman (2-for-3) and
Griffin Helms (1-for-3, RBI).
· The highlight of the night may have come in the top of the fifth, when Norman reached up and robbed a home run to end the inning. It held the Bulldogs scoreless for the first time in the ballgame and switched momentum over to the Owls' bench.
· Upshaw followed up in the bottom half with a solo HR to pull the Black and Gold within three, the closest its been since facing a 3-0 deficit in the first.
·But, rain and storms official ended play with six completed innings, and 1,113 fans were sent home because of weather.

Corey Greeson hit his first home run of the season in the bottom of the fourth frame, marking his eighth HR of his career.

Austin Upshaw hit his first home run since March 5 at Middle Tennessee, and now has five on the season – ranking second on the team. He extended his hitting streak to five games.

Grant Williams extended his hitting streak to six games, and has reached base safely in six straight contests.
