To start the 2017 outdoor track and field season, the Kennesaw State track and field teams will be traveling to a pair of meets. Six of the combined eventers will compete in the heptathlon and decathlon at the Joe Walker Invitational hosted by Ole Miss, while the rest of the team opens their season at the Raleigh Relays.

Derr Track Complex:
The recently enhanced Paul Derr Track, located in the heart of NC State's main campus, has a fresh look for 2012, with enhancements that will benefit student-athletes, the coaching staff and spectators. As part of on-going facility enhancements across campus, the longstanding home of Wolfpack track was fitted in the offseason with new chairback seats, a new press box, a new operations/storage building, enhanced concourses, new bathrooms and an elegant brick facade. It is also part of the Dail Soccer Stadium, home of NC State's men's and women's soccer teams. The new improvements come on the heels of a $5 million upgrade in 2008 that included a state-of-the-art rubberized running surface.Derr Track has hosted numerous championship events over the years, including ACC Championships, North Carolina high school championship meets, Junior Strider meets, the Special Olympics and many other events.

Ole Miss Track and Field Complex
A $7.2 million renovation project for the Ole Miss Track & Field Complex has made the Rebels' facility one of the finest in the nation. The updated facility, completed in September 2016, includes a brand new track surface, infield, videoboard and throwing area adjacent to the track. The Ole Miss Track & Field Complex features prime seating for more than 1,500 spectators with a concession area.
