Raleigh, N.C.- The Kennesaw State men's and women's track teams opened the outdoor season competing in the first day of competition at the Raleigh Relays at the Paul Deer Track and Field Complex.
Women's Top Performances
- Kidan Kidane ran a time of 35:55.25 in the 10K which is third fastest in program history.
- Freshmen Tiona Fant (12.27) and Alexis Andrews (12.32) posted their collegiate-best times in the 100m.
- Fellow freshman Jirah Simpkins posted her collegiate-best time of 14.63 in the 100m hurdles.
- Dominique Martin cleared 1.60m (5-3) to tie for fourth in the high jump.
- Alexis Hunter-Lonon had her career-best outdoor long jump of 5.43m (17'9.75).
- Freshman Lexi Froh ran the fourth fastest 3K steeplechase in program history with a time of 11:35.8 in her first ever steeplechase at the Emory Invitational in Atlanta.
Men's Top Performances
- Fabeon Tucker finished fifth amongst collegiate athletes in the discus with a toss of 49.00m (160-9).
- That discus throw by Tucker was the third longest in program history.
- Freshman Drew Anderson landed a throw of 42.96m (140'11) in his collegiate discus debut.
- Brenton Rosa tied for third in the pole vault after clearing 4.61m (15'1.5).
- Freshman Wes Watkins ran his collegiate-best time of 15.34 in 110m hurdles.
Day two of the meet is scheduled for Saturday, March 25 at the Paul Deer Track and Field Complex in Raleigh, North Carolina.
