THE STORYLINE:
· Kennesaw State fell to Canisius Sunday afternoon at Stillwell Stadium by a final score of 8-5, settling for a four-game weekend series split.
· The Owls tallied 11 hits, including five extra base hits, but could not overcome a four-run deficit after five innings as the Golden Griffins took advantage of 12 walks and scored multiple runs in the second, fourth and seventh frames.
· With the loss, Kennesaw State dropped to 10-14 on the season while Canisius improved to 14-9 overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Grant Williams (2-for-3) reached base five of his six at-bats throughout the ballgame, leading the offense with two hits and a pair of walks.
· The junior set the tone offensively for the Owls that scored five runs on 11 hits, including two in the sixth as senior
Corey Greeson (RBI walk) and
Austin Upshaw (sacrifice fly) drove in two KSU runs to pull with 6-4.
· Trailing for most of the ballgame, Kennesaw State once again fought back in the bottom of the seventh frame as junior
Taylor Allum hit a solo HR over the right field wall to pull the Owls within 8-5.

Erich Stahl all entered the ballgame out of the bullpen, combining for 3.0 scoreless innings in which the three allowed just one hit to keep Canisius off the scoreboard.
