THE STORYLINE:Â
· Kennesaw State's clutch late-game offense and solid bullpen work fought off host Georgia State Wednesday night, defeating the Panthers 10-7 at the GSU Baseball Complex in Atlanta.
· Deadlocked at 4-4 entering the final three frames, Kennesaw State scored six unanswered runs on five hits with a crooked three in the seventh, one in the eighth and two more in the ninth to earn the non-conference victory.
· With the win, Kennesaw State improved to 11-14 overall while Georgia State dropped to 11-14 on the season. Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
· The Owls quickly jumped on the right field scoreboard in Atlanta, wasting no time with a pair of two-run home runs off the bats of
Taylor Allum and
Forrest Bramlett.
· The 4-0 lead was dwindled to a 4-4 tied as Georgia State responded with four unanswered, scoring two runs in the third and two more in the fifth innings to deadlock the ballgame heading into the final three frames.
· The Owls responded in the top of the seventh, sending eight batters to the dish and scored a crooked three to take control of the game. Freshman left fielder
Terence Norman drew a key two-out walk with bases loaded to give KSU the go-ahead run.
· Up 5-4 in the seventh, senior third baseman
Jeremy Howell followed Norman with a two-out two-run RBI single, give Kennesaw State a 7-4 advantage.
·The Owls extended its lead to its largest of the game to six with a run in the eighth (
Griffin Helms' RBI double) and a two-run RBI double off the bat of
Jake Franklin in the ninth to make it 10-4.

Brock Turner was solid out of the bullpen, punching out seven Panthers in 2.2 frames.
· Freshman RHP
Jordan Krueger (1-0) was solid as out of the bullpen as well, allowing just two hits, no runs and struck out a pair in 2.0 innings of work – earning his first collegiate victory.
· The two RHP and senior
Will Bice combined to work 5.2 frames, allowing two runs on seven hits to keep the Panthers tame, allowing the Owls' offense to jump ahead to earn the win.
· Offensively, the Owls were led by Allum (1-for-4, two RBI), Bramlett (2-for-3, two RBI), Helms (3-for-4, RBI), Franklin (2-for-5, two RBI), Howell (1-for-4, two RBI), and Norman (1-for-3, RBI), who all combined for 10 of KSU's 12 hits and all 10 RBI.
