KENNESAW, Ga. – Continuing Kennesaw State's commitment to community service, the football team recently took part in National Read Across America Week.
Â
Led by head coach
Brian Bohannon, 94 Owls visited 15 elementary schools throughout Cobb County last week where the team read Dr. Seuss books to the students as the country celebrated Dr. Seuss' March 2
nd birthday.
Â
"It's a great way for us to come and emphasize the most important skill set is the ability to read," said Bohannon. "It's a great opportunity for the kids at all these elementary schools, but it's even better for our kids – they realize when they walk in these classrooms that kind of role models they are."
Â
The visits took place with the Owls in the midst of their spring practice that will culminate with the annual Spring Game on March 24 at 7 p.m. at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.
Â
Season tickets for the 2017 campaign are now on sale for $99, plus your Owls Fund donation. Renewals for current season-ticket holders were sent in January with a
deadline of March 15. New season-ticket holders will have their seats allocated in April.
