KENNESAW, Ga. – The field is set for the 2017 ASUN Men's Tennis Championship, and Kennesaw State enters the tournament with the No. 3-seed – the best seed in program history. The Owls battle Lipscomb Friday at 5 p.m. in the first round.
 
The tournament is hosted by Florida Gulf Coast at the FGCU Tennis Complex, with North Florida holding the No. 1-seed. Stetson is No. 2, followed by the Owls, No. 4 FGCU, No. 5 USC Upstate, and No. 6 Lipscomb.
 
The Owls (13-7, 4-2), who finished the regular season with program records for wins (13) and conference victories (four), will battle the sixth-seeded Bisons (5-13, 1-5) for the second time this week after winning, 4-3, in Nashville on Saturday.
 
The winner faces Stetson in Saturday's semifinals at 5 p.m. The winner of the FGCU-Upstate match faces UNF in Saturday's other semifinal. The championship match is set for Sunday at 1 p.m. and will be live on ESPN3.
 
Kennesaw State is in the ASUN Tournament for the third straight season, and last year advanced to the semifinals for the first time. As the sixth-seed last season, the Owls beat Stetson, 4-3, before falling to UNF, 4-0, in the semifinals.
