CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Kennesaw State track and field team competed in The Virginia Challenge on Friday, April 21. Below are the top performances of the day for the Owls:
Women's Top Performances
- Hannah Wood got the day started by finishing third in the 100-meter dash and tying a school record with a time of 11.56.
- After Day 1 of the heptathlon, Jordan Gray sits in fourth place with 3,331 points.
- Erica Sergeant finished fourth in the pole vault clearing 4.03 meters (13-2.5). That mark is a new school record.
Men's Top Performances
- Hunter Arnold and Brenton Rosa won the pole vault on the men's side clearing 5.03 meters (16-6) by each tying for a new school record.
- Ngu Qwazon Al Khaliq finished in fourth place in the triple jump with a jump of 14.66 meters (48-1.25)
- Fabeon Tucker got fifth in the discus throwing 51.02 meters (167-5)
- Joshua Mulder is the third collegian with 3859 points after day one in the decathlon. He won the 400m with a time of 48.39. Freshman Paris Williams is right behind him with 3773 points. His best event so far was the 100m where he finished second.
The Owls will finish off the Virginia Challenge on Saturday, April 22.
