THE STORYLINE: 
· Kennesaw State dropped a non-conference contest to Charlotte, 16-1, Tuesday evening at Hayes Stadium.
· Terence Norman hit a solo home run, but the 49ers pitching staff held KSU's bats to one run on four hits to pull away from the Owls.
· With the loss, Kennesaw State dropped to 18-23 overall while Charlotte improved to 25-16 on the season.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
· Trailing 1-0, Norman, a Kennesaw native, hit a leadoff home run to deadlock the ballgame at 1-1.
· The 49ers answered with a run in the fourth, two more in the fifth, nine runs in the seventh inning and three in the eighth to take a 16-1 advantage over KSU.
· Senior LHP, Chris Erwin, a Grayson, Ga., native, allowed two earned runs on six hits in 4.0 innings of work in a tough-luck loss. 
· Offensively, Norman (home run, RBI, run scored), Grant Williams (1-for-3), Austin Upshaw (1-for-3), and Daniel Seres (1-for-1) accounted for the Owls' four hits and RBI.
 
#NESTNOTES: 
· Freshman Terence Norman totaled his third collegiate home run. He has tallied a home run in two of his last four games.
· Brock Turner made his 15th appearance out of the bullpen, ranking second to only Erich Stahl for most this season.
· Freshman catcher Daniel Seres recorded his first collegiate hit with a double in the ninth inning.
 
UP NEXT
Kennesaw State continues its road slate with an ASUN showdown at Lipscomb in Nashville, Tenn. The Owls and Bisons are scheduled to begin their series on ESPN3 Friday (April 28) night, before a 2 p.m. clash on Saturday and a 1 p.m. tilt Sunday.
