KENNESAW, Ga. – The 2017 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships selection announcements will take place Thursday (May 4) at 12 p.m. (ET), on the Golf Channel and streamed live on the Golf Channel website.
 
Kennesaw State, which won its second consecutive ASUN Conference championship last month, has earned an automatic berth by virtue of its conference title. The Owls, ranked No. 39 by Golfstat, will be making their seventh straight NCAA Regional appearance.
 
The 81-teams and 45 individuals selected will compete at six regional sites, May 15-17, with three regionals hosting 13 teams and 10 individuals, and three regionals welcoming 14 teams and five individuals.
 
A total of 30 teams and six individuals (top five teams and individual on non-advancing team) will advance from regional sites to the national championships scheduled for May 26-31 at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill.
 
The six regional sites include Baton Rouge, La. (University Club), College Grove, Tenn. (The Grove), West Lafayette, Ind. (Kampen Course), Stanford, Calif. (Stanford Golf Course), Austin, Texas (UT Golf Club) and Auburn, Wash. (National Golf Club).    
 
Kennesaw State will seek its third NCAA Championships appearance after advancing in 2011 and 2014. The Owls placed seventh at the NCAA Franklin Regional a year ago.
