KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State Track and Field teams have announced the dates for its 2017 summer camp, it was announced by Director of Track and Field and Cross Country
Andy Eggerth. The Owls will offer one camp that will take place from June 19-21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The camp is open to anyone ages eight and up.
Campers will have the opportunity to 'learn by doing' proper mechanics and techniques of the areas of track and field that they are interested in. Skill instruction will be offered for starts, accelerations, maximum velocity sprinting, speed endurance, race modelling, and all field events. In addition they will learn the importance of training the endocrine and connective tissue systems, how to address these areas, and the significant performance benefits that may be gained.
There will be two training sessions per day with lunch provided. The KSU coaches and student-athletes will teach every track and field event. Campers can choose which event group they would like to work with for per session so they can practice several different events if they like.
