KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State women's basketball head coach
Agnus Berenato announced on Wednesday (Aug. 2) the hiring of Tiffany Webster as director of basketball operations.
A scholar-athlete while a member of the Quinnipiac women's basketball program, Webster will be responsible for handling the day-to-day operations of the KSU program, including coordinating team travel, practices, NCAA logs and community service initiatives.
"Tiffany comes to KSU with an outstanding background in women's basketball, a basketball family, and has been associated with great basketball institutions," Berenato said. "I am excited for Tiffany to get started with our program and help us reach the next level. I really enjoy her enthusiasm for not only the game of basketball but for educating the student-athlete."
Webster most recently served as a student intern with the Xavier women's basketball program during the 2016-17 season. While working with the Musketeers, Webster was responsible for creating the recruiting schedule, coaches' itinerary, and assisting with individual workouts in addition to handling a myriad of other responsibilities. She also has experience as a student intern with Harvard women's basketball.
"I am honored to work for Coach Berenato. I think she is an amazing person with a lot of character and integrity," Webster said. "She genuinely cares about her players and staff, and I look forward to assisting her, the assistant coaches, student-athletes and the entire program."
This past spring, Webster was selected by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) to the "So You Want to be a Coach" program, a three-day workshop held March 29-31 in conjunction with the WBCA Convention in Dallas, Texas.
Showing a commitment to community service, Webster was chosen by Crossover Basketball and Scholars Academy to travel to Chennai, India, during the summer of 2016 for an 18-day mission where she helped teach impoverished children how to play basketball, and spoke about leadership, character and gender equality.
While a member of the Quinnipiac women's basketball team, Webster helped the Bobcats to an undefeated conference season, MAAC Tournament title and berth in the 2016 NCAA Tournament.
Webster's deep basketball lineage includes her father, Darryl, who played basketball at George Washington University and brother, Christian, who led Harvard to three Ivy League championships, and is a current assistant coach at Virginia Tech. She also has a younger sister, Taylor, who is one of the top ranked shooting guards in the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia area.
Webster earned a bachelor's of arts degree in communications from Quinnipiac in 2016, and received a master's degree in sports administration from Xavier this past May.
