XC: Owls Head to Nashville for Commodore Classic

 Race Preview
The Kennesaw State Cross Country teams will head to Nashville, Tennessee to compete in the Commodore Classic on Saturday, September 16.

KSU will be competing for the first time in the Commodore Classic.
   
Per NCAA rules, the meet will be scored in divisions.

The men's 8k race will begin at 10 a.m. ET. The men's 5k race is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. ET.
 
The Field
 Men: Austin Peay, Belmont, Butler, IUPUI, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Marshall, Miami (Ohio), Mid. Tenn. State, Missouri, Ohio State, SIU, Carbondale, Vanderbilt, and Western Kentucky 
Women: Austin Peay, Belmont, Butler, Eastern Michigan, IUPUI , Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Marshall, Miami (Ohio,) Mid. Tenn. State, Missouri, Ohio State, SIU, Carbondale, Tennessee Tech, Vanderbilt, Western Kentucky, and Xavier (Ohio)

Owls Post Solid Performances at Stan Sims Invitational
The Kennesaw State cross country teams continued their seasons on Friday, September 8 at the Stan Sims Invitational at Sam Smith Park. The men collected the men's team title and the women went 2-2 in the dual meet.
 
KSU Team Notes
- The men's team won their first meet as a team since the UWG Wolves Cross Country Invitational in 2012.
- The Stan Sims Invitational marked the second time that Patterson and Farrell have been the Owls top finishers in a meet.
- Reagan Poteet, Logan Poteet and Morgan Haney made their KSU debuts on Friday evening.

Next Up
The Owls will return to action Saturday, September 30 at the Foothills Invitational in Oxford, Alabama.
