Nashville, Tenn. – The Kennesaw State men's and women's track teams opened competition at the Vanderbilt Invitational inside the Vanderbilt recreation and wellness center on Friday, January 19.
 

 Personal Best Performances
  • Tyler Jones had a jump of 7.34m (24'1) in the long jump to finish sixth.
  • Scott Simpson cleared 4.35m (14'3.25) in the pole vault .
  • Redshirt freshman Aliyah Whisby landed a jump of 5.72m (18'9.75) in her first career meet to finish 11th in the long jump.
  • De'Von Johnson jumped 5.69m (18'8) in the long jump in her return to action to finish 12th.
  • Ashley Thomas recorded a jump of 5.50m (18'0.50) in the long jump.
  • Chuck McConville threw his career-best throw in the weight throw with a toss of 16.58m (54'4.75) to finish 14th.
  • Freshman Omar Diaz posted a season-best time of 22.18, while fellow freshman Jordan Hewing posted a time of 22.30 in the 200m.
  • Former Owl Andre Dorsey won the long jump with a leap of 7.90m ( 25'11).
