Weekend Preview
The Kennesaw State men's tennis squad continues when it travels to Nashville, Tennessee on Friday to take on Belmont.

Due to impending weather expected in the Kennesaw area, the men's tennis team will host Liberty on Sunday at 9.a.m. at Lifetime Fitness in Peachtree Corners, Georgia.  

The Series
Friday's match between Kennesaw State and Belmont marks the seventh meeting between the two programs. The series is tied 3-3 with the Owls picking up a 4-3 win last season.
 
Sunday's match between KSU and Liberty is the first meeting between the two programs.
 
Scouting Belmont and Liberty
Belmont is 1-4 on the season. Having lost four straight to open the season, the Bruins picked up a win over Gardner-Webb on Sunday.

Liberty is 1-2 on the season and is coming off a loss to Richmond last Friday.

The Last Time Out 
The Kennesaw State men's tennis team opened its dual match season with a 5-2 loss to Samford (1-1) at the Samford Tennis Center in Birmingham, Ala. on Sunday (Jan. 21).
 
 The Owls (0-1) came up just short in doubles as all three matches were highly contested. KSU picked up a win in doubles from Fermin Calvo Barcelo and Manuel Castellanos over Jake Faundez and Eduardo Lourido 6-5 in number one doubles.
 
Playing at number one singles, Calvo Barcelo knocked off Jake Faundez  7-5, 6-2. Senior Corey Smith picked up a win over Rossouw Norval in 6-4, 6-1 at number four singles.
 
 Next Up
The Owls continue their 2018 spring campaign traveling to Mercer on Tuesday, Feb. 6 in Macon, Georgia.
