Indoor Meet 4: Kennesaw State at Queens University Combined Events
Date: Monday and Tuesday February 5-6, 2018

The Kennesaw State track and field team's will be traveling to Lynchburg, Virginia to compete in Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational over the weekend. The combined eventers will be competing in the heptathlon and pentathlon in the Queens University Combined Events in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
 
The Owls who compete at the Darius Dixon Invitational will get a preview of the host site for the ASUN Championships as the Championships will be held in the Liberty Indoor Track and Field Complex on Feb.16-17.
 
LAST TEAM INDOOR MEET
 The Kennesaw State men's and women's track teams wrapped up competition at the Vanderbilt Invitational inside the Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center on Saturday, January 20.
 
The Field
The field for the Darius Dixon Memorial includes Elon, Hampton, High Point Howard, Kennesaw State, Liberty, Marshall, Maryland, Norfolk State, Radford, Richmond, South Carolina, UNC Asheville, UNCG, VCU, William & Mary and Winthrop.

The team will travel to Lynchburg, Virginia to compete at the ASUN Championships Feb.16-17.

»   The men's track and field team leads the ASUN in five of 17 events. 
 
»   Freshman Omar Diaz leads the ASUN in the 200m with a time of 22.00, while junior Braden Canamare leads in the 400m with a time of 49.42.
 
 » Dayo Akindele leads the ASUN with a leap of 15.59m (51'1.75) in the triple jump at the Vanderbilt Invitational and a time of 8.08 in the 60m hurdles..
  
» Chuck McConville leads the ASUN in shot put with a toss of 15.59m (51'1.75).
 
 » The women's track and field team are leading the ASUN in six of 17 events.

» Senior Jordan Gray leads the ASUN in the long jump with a leap of 6.07m (19'11) and the pentathlon with 4221 points.
 
»Sophomore Nia Seldon  landed a toss of  18.18 m (59'7.75) in the weight throw at the Gene Edmonds Invitational which leads the ASUN by 2.42m. 
 
» Erica Sergeant won the pole vault with a conference-best leap of 3.96m (12"11.75) at the Gene Edmonds Invitational.
 
» Jocselyn Powell recorded a time of 8.43 seconds in the 60m hurdles to lead the ASUN at .

» The Owls 4x400m relay team of Powell, Tionna FantDestiny Jackson and Dollitia Thomas registered a time of 3:53.74 at the Vanderbilt Invitational to grab the conference lead.
