OUTLOOK
One of the most consistent performers from 2012 is back in Black & Gold for the new season... Peyton Hart garnered attention for his offense and defensive skills for the Owls last season and he looks to continue his outstanding play... Named a top-40 prospect from the NECBL, Hart will man the short stop position for his final year at the collegiate level... Many scouts believe Hart is a serious contender to be selected in the MLB Draft and he will once again Captain the KSU Owls.
2012 Summer League (NECBL - New Bedford Bay Sox)
Rising senior Peyton Hart was honored for his All-Star season with the New Bedford Bay Sox. Chosen as the leagues’ Defensive Player of the Year, Hart polished off the season with a .965 fielding percentage in 41 games. Hart also provided solid numbers from the dish as he batted .279 with 19 RBI and was selected as an NECBL All-Star, thus earning himself the No. 31 prospect of the league…Jun 11 vs Mystic, 2-for-3 with one run and two walks…Jun 20 vs Mystic, 3-for-4, two runs, one double and two RBI…Jun 28 vs Laconia, 2-for-4 one run, one double, and three RBI…Jun 30 vs Sanford, 3-for-4, one double, one RBI…Jul 1 vs Laconia, 3-for-5 with one run…Ended the regular season with a .500 OBP.
2012
A strong 2012 campaign seemed to go unnoticed by most except by those who realized that Peyton Hart’s consistent performance in the field and at the plate was a huge factor in the Owls playing in the A-Sun championship game... He concluded the season starting all 59 games for KSU hitting .270 (62-for-230), five doubles, 32 runs, 23 RBI and 21 walks…Hart showed some speed swiping 14 stolen bases in 19 attempts…Hart started the season with a hit in 20 of the first 24 games, including seven multi-hit games…During the A-Sun Tournament, Hart had eight hits, three runs, and two RBI…Hart concluded the season with 17 hits in the final 11 games... Was named a captain.
2011
After making the transition from third to shortstop, Hart started all 57 games on the season. For the Owls… Peyton maintained a batting average of .302 with a total of 212 at bats, with 64 hits, 31 RBI’s, and 28 runs for the season... Had an 11-game hitting streak that included 16 hits over the 11 game span, that included five RBI’s and nine runs scored... Went 2-4 against Southern Illinois with two RBI’s, one triple, and one home run... Was 4-4 against Georgia Southern with one RBI, one double, and two runs... Went 3-4 against North Florida with 2 RBI’s and 1 run scored… Went 3-5 against Georgia with one RBI… Hart had a hit in 41 of the Owls 57 games and reached base successfully in all but 10 games… Peyton collected 12 doubles on the season to go along with one triple and one home run… Had 19 multi-hit games that included three, three hit games and one four hit performance.
2010 Season
Made 52 starts at third base ... Enjoyed an eight-game hitting streak ... Had 14 multi-hit games and 10 multi-RBI games ... Was one of just four Kennesaw State players to have a four-hit game when he went 4-for-5 at Georgia (3/9) ... Led the Owls with a pair of four-RBI games, the first coming against Samford (2/26) and at Jacksonville (5/8) ... Had a string of three consecutive multi-RBI games beginning at Georgia (3/) and concluding with a pair of two-RBI games at Southern Utah (3/12) ... Hit a game -winning grand slam in the top of the ninth inning at Jacksonville (5/8) to highlight a six-run inning which brought the Owls back from a 7-2 deficit ... In his only pinch hit appearance of the year he singled in two runs at Jacksonville State (2/24).

Peyton joins the Owls from Franklin County HS where he was a four-year varsity letterman...Helped his team make the state play-offs all four years of his career...Selected to Junior Team Georgia in 2007...Played in games for the Junior National Team USA...Named All-Region 8AAA in 2007 and 2008...Peyton received the Golden Glove Award and the Silver Slugger Award in 2007 and 2008...Was named Franklin County HS MVP in 2008...Was an Honor Graduate and finished 15th in his class.
