This is another piece to the puzzle and another great day at Kennesaw State. Today we are going to announce our continued partnership with Wellstar. We’re impacting lives here and today we further that with our agreement with Wellstar. We want to surround ourselves with excellence. We always ask ‘What do we need to succeed?’ and we feel we have that in Wellstar. They join the foundation for what is going to be a spectacular future here at Kennesaw State.

Both systems have grown up together hand-in-hand, and we’ve both grown out of being just Cobb County institutions into being relevant in the whole state of Georgia. We have so many advancements on the drawing board and Kennesaw State is going to continue to be an intricate part in those advancements. We’re excited to have this partnership and the world is excited to move on with this innovation.

It’s not surprising to be here today, this relationship started many years ago. I’ve had the opportunity to work on both of these boards and we’ve had such good folks say ‘both of these institutions are places I want to be.’ This is not a strange place for us to be. Both organizations are large and growing and that’s wonderful and put an emphasis on education to try and form better communities. It’s all about servant leadership and bettering where we live. It’s such a strong and natural tie for the two of us to be together.
 
Dr. Daniel S. Papp
This is a momentous occasion for Kennesaw State University and for Wellstar. We have a history that goes back a number of years from our Wellstar College of Health and Human Services to our Wellstar School of Nursing, the first colleges in the state to be named after a corporate entity. That just speaks to the innovative character to Wellstar and KSU and we continue to push that front. This is just one additional step forward in what has been, is and what will continue to be a wonderful relationship. We’ve come a long way in the past 50 years at KSU and we’ve got a long way to go, and we’re just at the beginning of what Kennesaw State is going to become and it’s because of the wonderful support of our partners like Wellstar.
