We’re here announcing more impactful partnerships for Kennesaw State University and Kennesaw State Athletics. Today, we’re going to talk about Henssler Financial, the newest partner to KSU athletics, but not the newest partner to KSU. We’re excited about their willingness to be a part of KSU athletics. We talk a lot about impacting lives in our department and our university, and the Henssler Financial Group is what we’re hoping will be our difference maker in KSU Athletics. We believe in the vision of our president and our vision for our student-athletes to help them reach their facets as people in whatever they do and Henssler Financial is going to help us reach those goals.
When you think about our success in the classroom and the community, the Owls Champions Initiative had a lot to do with that. The support staff had a lot to say in us reaching our potential. It’s about impacting lives for our student-athletes and our coaches. This is about being the best we can be as people. I want to thank Henssler Financial from the bottom of my heart. This is a difference maker. Our values are aligned with Henssler Financials values of impacting lives.

Pat and I are all about education. Myself, being an ex-student-athlete, I recognized the importance of this. I’ve always been about giving to university’s and not so much athletics, but this department is one I can believe in. One of the things that is so important about this is some kids say ‘I want to go to get a scholarship and go on to play professionally,’ but 99 percent, that won’t happen to, they’re going to end up in the real world. To be able to think on your feet and to be a leader is what people are looking for in employees, and that is student-athletes.

I just want to say thank you to Gene and Pat. Their support for KSU over the years has been absolutely awesome. The support for the programs is going to move KSU Athletics to a new level. We want to win on the field, in the classroom, in social relationships and in giving back to the community. We want to help our student-athletes reach their potential and be more than just athletes. This is going to move KSU Athletics to a different level.
